Welcome to Day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways for 2017!

The Rules: Each day will have its own giveaway that will run for 7 days. You can enter all of the giveaways or just the ones that strike your fancy. Many of the giveaways will only be open to US residents (shipping costs you know 🙁 sorry), but I will have a few open internationally.

Every day will have a special word that you will need to put together the special quote for the Day 12 giveaway. That quote and entry in one of the other 11 giveaways will be required to enter the Day 12 giveaway.

This giveaway is for a Kindle copy of ‘Christmas Double Cross’ by Jodie Bailey.

Today’s special word is: them

The food! The drinks! 😮

There are just certain foods and drinks that make Christmas a delight, don’t you agree? Personally, I look forward to the Caramel Brulee Latte that Starbucks only makes for a few short weeks of the year. My mother-in-law makes an amazing cheeseball. Yum! My family looks forward to a few of the sweet treats that I only make at this time of year, like cookies and our Crispy Holiday Log.

Do you have a favorite food or drink that you look forward to at Christmas?

  1. One of my favorite holiday foods is sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows though).

  2. I love our family Swiss bread recipe. It’s great at Christmas but also all through the year. We also have some Swiss Christmas cookie recipes my grandmother used to make, and my sister still makes a couple of them at Christmas.

  3. My Grandma’s cookies! She only bakes around Christmas but freezes a bunch and they usually last into the spring, sometimes early summer, with her only bringing out a plateful here and there. She makes a variety of kinds and flavors and they are all yummy!

    1. That is so neat Jasmine. My mom used to make me a batch of special cookies that I would try to make stretch out as far as I could into the next year. Thanks for sharing your story. 🙂

  4. Food is a Pumpkin Roll and Drink would be Caffeinated Hot Cocoa (I don’t drink Coffee)

  5. My husband only makes homemade Chex mix during the holiday season. He says that it keeps it “more special” that way, lol. I love eating it at any time of day!
