Welcome to Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways for 2018!

Today’s giveaway book reminds me of the most important part of the holidays: the people we love! I’m incredibly blessed to have many of the important people in my life around me at Christmas. This is also the time of year where I miss my mom most. She never missed an opportunity to shower her family and friends with love so this time of year was truly special for her. Even though she has gone on to heaven, she still manages to make Christmas special for me through memories and traditions that I carry forward.

My mom was also one of those very special people. Christmas was her favorite holiday because of Jesus being the ultimate gift. All five of us kids learned this from an early age. We baked cookies for others, we made christmas gifts. She showed us how to show others that they were special all year long. She showed us that giving of ourselves and our time for others was more satisfying and that when we did, Jesus was pleased. Mom taught us so much about what Christmas truly is. And we all carry on the same traditions today and taught our kids.
