12 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Day 9

The Rules: Each day will have its own giveaway that will run for 7 days. You can enter all of the giveaways or just the ones that strike your fancy. Many of the giveaways will only be open to US residents (shipping costs you know 🙁 sorry), but I will have a few open internationally.

Every day will have a special word that you will need to put together the special quote for the Day 12 giveaway. That quote and entry in one of the other 11 giveaways will be required to enter the Day 12 giveaway.

Today’s special word is: shelves

The best part of the holidays, at least for me, is the opportunity to give gifts. I spend hours thinking about, and shopping for, the right presents to give to those that I love.

I have many memories of seeing faces light up when I have given gifts. It is what motivates me to keep giving. One memory that stands out to me is when my mom asked for a teapot for Christmas. She liked cats and I happened upon a cat teapot which I knew would be perfect for her. It was. But even better was the look of pure joy on her face when she opened it. 🙂 Ahhh. Sweet memories.

Today’s giveaway is for four sets of two Large Print Love Inspired contemporary books. There will be four winners for this giveaway.

  1. I bought my Mother a very pretty cherry Howard Miller wall clock….the type she had always wanted for the living room.

  2. One of my favorite gifts was the year we gave my 3 year old some Disney princess dresses. She wore them daily for months. I loved seeing her joy!

  3. The table saw I’m giving hubby this year. His died and he is a carpenter. He grew up in a home without much love or giving, so I can’t wait to see his face.

  4. An angel tree gift. I know our church coordinator said the grandma called and said how thankful she was. It was only a hoodie and I put some extra candy in the box.

    1. How sweet Caryl. My grandmother and my mom both did cross stitch and I have been blessed to have some of their handiwork in my house. 🙂

  5. One year I gave my husband an electronic keyboard (piano) as he was always saying how much he wanted to learn to play. He was so surprised to see one wrapped up, I can rarely pull one over on him 🙂

He never has learned how to play, but it was certainly the thought that counted!

    1. That is so neat Trixi! I gave my husband a digital baby grand for our anniversary one year. It was one of the best presents I ever gave but it was really difficult to arrange without him knowing about it. 🙂
