Giveaway at Loraine Nunley's website: A Most Inconvenient Marriage by Regina Jennings #bookgiveaway

This week’s book giveaway is for the inspirational historical romance book A Most Inconvenient Marriage by Regina Jennings. I have two copies so there will be two winners! 🙂

What is this book about?

With few options of her own, nurse Abigail Stuart agrees to marry her patient, a gravely wounded soldier calling himself Jeremiah Calhoun. They arrange a quick ceremony before he dies, giving Abigail the rights to his Ozark farm and giving Jeremiah the peace of knowing someone will care for his ailing sister after he’s gone–a practical solution for both of them.

After the war, Abigail fulfills her side of the bargain–until the real Jeremiah Calhoun shows up, injured but definitely alive, and wastes no time in challenging Abigail’s story. Abigail is flummoxed. After months of claiming to be his widow, how can she explain that she’s never seen this Jeremiah Calhoun before? How can she convince him that she isn’t trying to steal his farm? And will she find a way to stay, even though this practical arrangement has turned into a most inconvenient marriage?

  1. My trust in the Lord keeps me sane when things are out of control. Knowing He is in the mess with me and that He is sovereign, He is faithful. He is good.

  2. when everything seems to be out of control I: grab my bible and head into a quiet spot and spend time with the Lord. His peace settles in my soul and I am able to look at things differently and calmly.

  3. My faith and trust in God, my family, and distracting myself with reading, gardening, or another activity. I try not to dwell on the negative things, although that’s hard right now.

    1. It is difficult not to dwell on the negative. I like your methods of distracting yourself Winnie. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  4. When everything seems out of control, my trust in God’s love for me and His never-changing character are what keep me sane.

  5. Always trusting the Lord keeps me sane but on an earthly level, my husband is good at making me laugh, which dispels some of the insanity 🙂

  6. Jesus, first and foremost. Then reading, journaling, baking, and photography!

  7. Other than grounding myself in prayer and getting prayer from my family and friends, a good story, whether via book, TV show, or movie, or one I’m writing myself, keeps me grounded.

  8. Seeking the Lord through prayer and Scripture as well as communicating with certain friends as we encourage and emotionally support each other

  9. Listening to my audio Bible faithfully everyday has definitely been helpful in these strange times.

  10. Focusing on the Lord through prayer, reading the word, listening to worship music keeps me grounded.

  11. I try to think of all of the many blessings I have and that calms me down. Also I always say there is someone who has worse problems than me and with that I count my blessings

  12. Just knowing that no matter what, God is in control and already knows how things will work out for our good.

  13. Would love to read this to find out if the new Jeremiah is the real person or an imposter.

  14. I will be honest and say this whole pandemic has really thrown me off course! I’ve tried to stay grounded in God’s word, reminding myself of His promises, praying more, clinging to my faith, soaking in worship music, and etc. It has been harder than I could have imagined at times though, especially with so much uncertainty. I KNOW God has been faithful in taking care of us, so I have had to hold right to that!

Thank you for the giveaway chance Loraine! I have not read this book by Regina 🙂

    1. I am so thankful that we can cling to God in times like these. Thanks for sharing with us Trixi. 🙂

  15. Sometimes I say, Help me Jesus! That is when I’m at my worst. Three weeks ago I lost my 32 year old grandson to suicide. It is heart breaking. God has given me strength but at times it hits me hard. I lean on Him.

    1. Oh my goodness Sally. I am soo sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you at this time. I’m praying for you and your family. Thank you for sharing with us. 🙁

  16. My pets help me calm down when I feel stressed. I have three cats and a dog. They know if I’m upset and they love on me or do something silly to distract me.

  17. Reading, making masks, having my husband get me out of the house, try and relay and pray to God
