Giveaway at Loraine Nunley's website: A Wedding Renewal by Kim O'Brien #BookGiveaway @lorainenunley

Today’s book giveaway is for the inspirational contemporary romance book A Wedding Renewal in Sweetwater, TexasΒ by Kim O’Brien.

What is this book about?

Somewhere between dressing up as a pizza slice at the elementary school and hosting Cub Scout meetings, stay-at-home mom Sylvia Baxter realizes something is missing in her marriage — the romance. When new capris and a haircut fail to get her husband’s attention, she knows the problem is even worse than she thought. Conspiring with her friends, she begins a Proverbs 31 makeover.

The new Sylvia couldn’t come at a worse time for her husband. Wilson is up for a big promotion, but the demands and pressure at work don’t leave him much time for anything else. Plus the promotion means moving, something he’s not sure Sylvia will embrace.

Sylvia and Wilson seem to be working at cross purposes, and their life starts slipping out of control. Decisions must be made and something has to give. Will it be Sylvia’s dream or Wilson’s?

  1. My husband has never been storybook romantic but the most romantic thing he ever did was take care of me when I broke my leg a few years ago. He cooked, washed clothes, washed dishes, made special dishes for me, helped me get about all while taking care of my mother after she broke her ribs and our grandson before he started school. To me you can’t get more romantic than that!

    1. That is so true Gail. Your husband is very romantic in my book. πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing about him.

  2. Something simple that is romantic happened to me yesterday–I was bummed that my daughters had to leave on Mother’s Day to return to college so my husband bought me a bouquet of flowers and cooked dinner for me as a surprise the day after. A wonderful, sweet man I married.

  3. Honestly think it’s the simple things that are the most romantic. When I’m have a rather painful day, for my husband to tell me to stay seating, brings me a book to read and says he’s cooking supper, that’s romantic to me. when he brings me a single “just because” rose and tells me he loves me even after 35 years is VERY romantic to me. I think romance can be just being considerate and letting the other know they are always there for you whether it’s a materialistic thing or just a few soft spoken words.

    1. I love all of that Kay! Consideration can be sooo romantic. Thank you for sharing about your husband with us. πŸ™‚

  4. Thanks for the chance at this giveaway! I am a single lady and have never been married yet, your theme sounds interesting. I wonder how these two characters will work things out to stay together as it seems life is pulling them apart. πŸ™‚

    1. Oh you don’t have to be married to have an opinion on romance Diane. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for commenting.

  5. I love it when my husband comes up behind me as I’m working at the counter, puts his arms around my waist and kisses me on the cheek. Simple and romantic.

  6. Just holding hands when we walk anywhere is wonderful. But, one thing my husband does, fairly regularly when I am working, is he comes up quietly behind me so as to not disturb me and kisses me lightly on the back of the neck and then goes on about his work. He constantly lets me know he loves me just by little things like that πŸ™‚

    1. Oh my goodness Jan, I am swooning over here. πŸ˜‰ That is such a sweet and romantic thing. Thank you for sharing that with us. πŸ™‚

    1. Oh that is so true Linda. I love it when my husband takes care of those needs for me and I do consider that to be very romantic. Thanks for commenting. πŸ™‚

  7. My love language is Acts of Service. So, whenever my husband steps in and takes care of menial tasks or chores that I’m usually in charge of, it speaks volumes to me.
