Giveaway at Loraine Nunley's website: Captured by Love by Jody Hedlund #BookGiveaway @lorainenunley

This week’s book giveaway is for the inspirational historical romance bookΒ Captured by LoveΒ by Jody Hedlund.

What is this book about?

The British Army has taken control of Michilimackinac Island and its fort, forcing the Americans to swear an oath of loyalty to the crown in order to retain their land. Pierre Durant is a fur trader who returns after being away from the island for years, only to find the family farm in shambles and those he cares about starving and at the mercy of British invaders.

Torn between the adventurous life of fur trading and guilt over neglecting his defenseless mother, Pierre is drawn deeper into the fight against the British — and into a relationship with Angelique MacKenzie, a childhood friend who’s grown into a beautiful woman. She now finds herself trapped by the circumstances of war and poverty, and the cruelty of her guardian, Ebenezer Whiley.

As tensions mount and the violence rages on, Pierre and Angelique must decide where their loyalties rest and how much they’ll risk for love.

  1. I want to make a trip up the eastern edge of the US in our RV and end at Niagra Falls.

  2. An adventure I’d like to have is horseback ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

  3. My folks were stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska when Mom got pregnant with me. Due to health reasons with the pregnancy, they were transferred back down to the states. They spoke often of their love of Alaska and how they had planned to sign on for another time if I hadn’t of came along. I’d always wanted to go back and see “where it all began” so to speak.

  4. I would love to go back to Europe and explore more of the countries. I’ve been to England, Scotland, Wales, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Germany, France, Sweden. I’d like to go to Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, and Italy. Some of the countries were kind of rushed, so I’d like to go back and see other parts of them.

    1. Sounds like you’ve had some good adventures already Winnie. I hope you are able to go back and visit those places. πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing.

  5. I have not gotten to do that much traveling, but my husband and I have high hopes of taking a cruise in the next year or two.

  6. A Fall train ride in Canada to see the leaves change. We really don’t have much fall color in Texas.

    1. That is so true Perrianne. I’m originally from Michigan but have lived in Texas for awhile now. I miss the fall colors. πŸ™‚ Thanks for commenting.

  7. My only daughter’s name is Angelique! In addition to that, the book sounds very good! I would love to take an Alaskan cruise.
