Todayβs book giveaway is for inspirational romantic suspense book, Deadly Pursuit by Irene Hannon.Β You can check out my review for this bookΒ here (Deadly Pursuit book review).
Where can I learn more about this author and their books?
As a reader (and writer) of inspirational romantic suspense, I struggle with the evil that is in the pages of page turning suspense. In order for good to triumph, there must be evil and the darker the evil, the more triumphant the success of good. It can be a fine line to portray that evil without offending the reader. I am in awe of the writers who manage to offset that evil with the goodness of God.

I haven’t read one before so I can’t recommend one but I know Cara Putnam has one or more. π
I’ve read a few of Cara’s legal suspense books. They are good. Thanks for commenting Sabrina. π
This author may not be thought of as a romantic suspense author, but The Gift by Shelley Shepard Gray certainly has plenty of both romance and suspense. It is an Amish fiction book that takes place at Christmas where it appears that the main characters are being targeted by someone who wants them gone. Many think it is the handsome neighbor, but is it? What is the next accident that will be set up for them? Gunshots?
Ooo that sounds very suspenseful Jan. Thanks for the recommendation. π
I’ve enjoyed Jaime Jo Wright’s books The House on Foster Hill and The Reckoning on Gossamer Pond. She’s an excellent writer. These are both time-slip novels. I also enjoy Susan Sleeman’s books. She has a new one out called Christmas Hideout.
Great book recommendations Winnie. Jaime Jo Wright and Susan Sleeman both excel at suspenseful stories. π
I love Irene Hannonβs romantic suspense. Dani Pettrey has two great series – Alaskan Courage series and Chesapeake Valor series.
Awesome Mindy. I’ve read Dani’s Alaskan Courage series. She’s one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. π
And Iβm almost finished reading In Too Deep by Lynn H Blackburn. Fabulous! Book one in this series is also fabulous!
I’m reading that one right now and loving it. π
Today I finished ready a good mystery with little romance and I loved the book, Stratagem by Robin Caroll.
Oh, I’ve heard about some good things about that one Sally. Thanks for the recommendation. π
Love Irene’s books.
Thanks for commenting Shelia. π
Forgotten past by Mary Alford is very good.
I really enjoyed The House on Foster Hill by Jo Wright and also all of Jordyn Redwoodβs books.
Thanks for the recommendations Faith. π
I’m not familiar with this author but her book looks like it would be a good one for our church library.
Her name is, Lisa Carter. The book is “A Vast and Gracious Tide”.
Thanks for entering me in your giveaway.
Thanks for the recommendation Janet. π
A Secret to Die For by Lisa Harris
Her books are great. Have you read Ghost Heart?
Great! Thanks Joan. π
Colleen Coble’s Sunset Cove series.
Thanks for the recommendation Anne. π
I really enjoyed Oath of Honor by Lynnett Eason
I just got that one Kelly. I can’t wait to start it. Lynette Eason is another favorite of mine for romantic suspense. π
I have so many suspense authors I love, Irene being among my top favorite π
Since I have read a lot of great suspense, I’ll just recommend the one I just finished; “Wait for Me by Susan May Warren”. The last Montana Rescue series book (six in all) and I enjoyed each one! Also, if you get the chance, read Irene’s latest one “Hidden Peril”, second in the Code of Honor series (check out the first one “Dangerous Illusions”). See, it’s so hard to recommend just one…lol!
Thanks for the giveaway chance Loraine, I have not read Deadly Pursuit or any of the other Guardians of Justice ones!
Thanks for all the great recommendations Trixi. It really is too hard to stop at one book or author. π
I loved Tides of Deception by Christy Barritt.
Thanks for the recommendation Becky. π
I recently read Beneath the Surface by Lynn Blackburn, and it was my first book by her. I was completely drawn in by the action, the romance, and the spiritual element! I canβt wait to read In Too Deep next!
I loved that one Karen. Lynn Blackburn is on my favorites list too. π
I enjoyed Colleen Coble’s Rock Harbor series. Also, Dani Pettrey’s Alaskan Courage series. π
Great! Thanks for the recommendations Caryl. π
There are SO Many! To say one though I will go with JD Robb’s “In Death” Series of Books
Thanks for the recommendation Linda. π I haven’t read any of JD Robb’s books, would they be considered inspirational?
I recommend anything by Dani Pettrey.
I’m with you there Vivian. I love Dani’s stories. π
I love Irene Hannonβs writing. Most anything by Kristen Heitzman is excelent as well.
Good ones Perrianne. Thanks for the recommendations. π
There are quite a few I can recommend. Rachel Dylan, Lynette Eason, Dee Henderson, DiAnn Mills to name a few.
All really good ones Paula. Thanks for the recommendations. π
I don’t read that much romantic suspense, so it’s hard to think of one. The thriller I just finished was The President is Missing, and it was really good, but there wasn’t any romance.
Thanks for commenting Kara. π
