This week’s book giveaway is for the inspirational romantic suspense book Drawing Fire by Janice Cantore.

What is this book about?

With a possible serial killer stalking elderly women in Long Beach, California, homicide detective Abby Hart’s best lead is Luke Murphy, an irritating private investigator who saw a suspect flee the scene of the latest homicide. But as she works with the handsome PI to unravel the serial killer case, she must also confront the spark between them. When Abby discovers that the most recent victim is related to the governor, she’s anxious to talk to him about a cold case that’s personal to her, one Luke is interested in as well.

As she learns more about the restaurant fire that took her parents’ lives years ago, Abby discovers why Luke is so invested in finding the ones responsible. With everyone else telling her to walk away from this case, Abby and Luke search for evidence buried beneath years of deceit…and soon realize that someone will do anything to make sure this case remains cold.

  1. I guess she’s not a detective, per se, but I liked Gwen Macy from Carrie Stuart Parks’ Books.

  2. Nancy Drew was always a favorite growing up. Thank you for the chance. Blessings

  3. I like Jessica Fletcher from Murder, She Wrote, or the old Perry Mason show! I also loved the O’Malley series Dee Henderson wrote years ago, plus many more books than I could name! I love a good detective TV show or book.

Thank you for the giveaway chance, Loraine!

  4. I don’t have a favorite fictional detective but do like Christian suspense stories.

  5. That’s a hard choice. I don’t watch much tv so my favorite detective is always found in what ever book I happen to be reading.

  6. I like the Justice Agency, a family of private detectives whose last name is Justice. These are Love Inspired Suspense stories by Susan Sleeman. They grab you and get you hooked right from the first page!

  7. It’s a tie between Poirot and Cadfael.
    Such great writing.

  8. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Nancy Drew. I devoured those books as a child and I think I read every one that was published at that time.

  9. Alex Cross from the James Patterson series is my favorite! ❀
