This week’s book giveaway is for the inspirational historical fiction book Elusive Hope by MaryLu Tyndall.
Synopsis from the back of the book:
In a colony named New Hope, while their friends are seeking a Southern utopia. . . .
Hayden is seeking revenge. Relentlessly.
After years of all but selling his soul to track down his scoundrel of a father, Hayden Gale discovers his search must continue in South America, where his father is reported to be helping colonize Brazil. Hayden has nothing more to lose, certainly not a good reputation, and vows to keep pursuing–at any cost–the vile man who he believes killed his mother.
Magnolia is seeking a way out. Desperately.
She’s in the jungles of Brazil against her will, but what choice does Magnolia Scott have? Her father insisted on uprooting their family to escape the uncertainty of Southern life after the Civil War. But how will she survive without all she holds dear—wealthy suitors, beautiful clothes, summer balls, and slaves waiting on her every whim? She vows to find a way to get back home—and attaches herself to handsome Hayden Gale.
As they journey toward Rio de Janeiro, they both seek to use the other for their own purposes. Deceptively. Falling in love was never part of their plans. . . .

I read all day! Once I get into a book, it’s hard to put it down! I occasionally stay up almost all night to finish a book, lol.
Oh, I can so relate to that Karen. I just finished a book that had me staying up late because I just had to find out what happened. 🙂
I love to read at all times of the day. No specific favorite time.
I think I’m like that too Jan. 🙂 I just pick up my latest read whenever I get some reading time available to me.
Anytime but mostly at night. It’s my “getaway” time.
Very nice Gail. 🙂
The time has come.
The time has come.
The time is now.
Just read.
Read.
READ!
I don’t care when.
I can read by day.
I can read by night.
Loraine D. Nunley, I can read
Anytime, anywhere.
I don’t care.
Can you read in the rain?
Can you read on a train?
Can you read with a mouse?
Can you read on a house?
With a fox? In a box?
Here or there?
Anywhere?
LOL Anne and Winnie 🙂 You’ve made my day!
Then my work is done, Loraine! LOL So glad we could help! 😀
🙂
I usually read at night when everything’s fairly quiet, but I’m not picky about when I read.
Yeah, sometimes you just gotta grab those quiet moments any time you can get them, right Winnie? 🙂
I like to read whenever it is quietest and I have nothing else going on. Usually that is at night.

Welcome to my website Sylvia. I get my best reading done when its quiet, but I have to be careful about those wonderful books that make me stay up past my bedtime. 🙂
My favorite time to read is ALL the time.
If I don’t have a physical book in hand then I am listening to an audiobook. I do it while I drive, tend the farm, fold clothes, do dishes, and sit on the sidelines at soccer practice. We rarely watch tv. In fact, we don’t have cable.
Amanda
P.S. I started She Walks in Power this morning. 🙂
Oh, I have heard lots of good things about She Walks in Power (that’s MaryLu’s latest for anyone who didn’t know). I love that books are available in so many formats to accommodate anyone’s schedule, don’t you Amanda? 🙂
All the time…I usually read in the evening.
I completely relate Amanda. 🙂 Any time is the right time for reading if you are a book lover.
Evening! I may read earlier too but I ALWAYs read after my bath and I go to bed!
That sounds so cozy Joan. 🙂
I can read anywhere, anytime, while watching tv, in a car, in bed, at the table, outside. Wherever I can grab a few minutes.
I get that Lucy. There are days when I wouldn’t read at all if I didn’t snatch a few moments here and there. 🙂
I read anytime it’s daylight!
Welcome to my website Phyllis. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Anytime of any day!!
🙂 I’m liking that MomIsReading!
Anytime is a good time. Usually, at bedtime though.
Seems like there are quite a few of us who wind down at the end of the day with a good book Lisa. 🙂
My favorite time to read is during my lunch break! I read in the evenings, too, but there’s something about lunch break reading that allows me to destress and prepare for my afternoon.
That is so cool Becky. 🙂 There’s nothing like a good story to get your mind off the tasks of the day.
I love reading in the morning on my days off! Snuggled up in bed, that wonderful lazy feeling 🙂
Oh, I just love those kind of days Heidi! 🙂
I enjoy reading whenever I get a chance. That’s usually in the late afternoon and evening.
I agree Dianne. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Weekends relaxing with my hisband. Or anytime really 🙂
I love that Mary! Welcome to my website. 🙂
I’d love to say I read all day long, but that’s just not reality…lol! Things must get done and life lived. So,most of my reading is done at night before I turn out the light to go to sleep. There have been rare occasions where I’ve had a few extra hours to read during the day 🙂
Thank you for the giveaway Loraine! I really enjoy MaryLu’s books!
You’re welcome Trixi. Oh I wish that I had more time in my day just for reading. 🙂
I do most of my reading before I go to bed at night. I do usually carry my Kindle with me and sometimes sneak in a little reading during the day when I have time.
I do that too Patty. 🙂 I just love my Kindle for that reason!
I read more late in the evening and past bedtime…….
And that is a great way to end a day, I think Brenda. 🙂
