Giveaway at Loraine Nunley's website: Finding Me by Kathryn Cushman #BookGiveaway

Today’s book giveaway is for the inspirational contemporary fiction bookΒ Finding MeΒ by Kathryn Cushman.

Synopsis from the back of the book:

All her life, Kelli Huddleston has been told the story of a fire — a fire that killed her mother and two siblings when she was an infant. After her father’s death, though, she uncovers evidence of a different story, including clippings about a boat accident that killed a young father and his infant daughter. And Kelli quietly realizes the story of her life has been a fiction.

Armed with only a few pictures of what she thinks might be her family, Kelli crosses the country to Tennessee, determined to uncover the truth about what happened over twenty years ago in a small southern town. When the trip threatens to open doors to the past better left shut, and her plans for the future are jeopardized, Kelli is faced with an agonizing choice that will change her life forever.

  1. My favorite family picture is one of our family…all of our kids and grandkids…on our 50th wedding anniversary. Priceless! This book sounds very intriguing, and I would love to win a copy. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. My mother recently passed away and I inherited all her photo albums. There are so many I love. Precious memories are captured in a blink of an eye on a photo taken!
Thanks for the giveaway. I’d love to read this.

    1. You’re welcome Gail. I feel that way about all the photo albums I inherited from my mom as well. My mom was the keeper of the family photos. Thanks for sharing. πŸ™‚

  3. My favorite family picture is the last one we made in 1988. It’s especially important to me not only because the love for each other is so evident but it’s also the last photo we have with all of us in on shot before our daughter died. She was 17 and a high school senior and missed every day but the photo is a reminder of what a jewel she was.

  4. The first one that comes to mind is when we lived in Ohio and we had a big reunion at my uncle’s cottage in southern Michigan. My dad’s side of 5 kids and their families were all in the picture. I treasure those memories.

    1. Family reunions are rare in my family so those type of photos are special to me. Thanks for sharing with us Sally. πŸ™‚

  8. I have several favorite family pictures. One from when I was growing up shows my parent, myself, and all 8 of my siblings, plus the kitten that my 5-year-old sister refused to take the picture without. Another I love is the family portrait taken a little over a year ago after my mother-in-law’s funeral. It was taken in the barnyard of the family home in front of a shed and silo, and has my husband and me, and all 28 of our family! A rare occasion that we can all be together.

    1. How special it is to have those kind of photos Winnie. I love the tidbit about the kitten. Isn’t it wonderful that pictures can help us recall special memories like that? Thanks for sharing. πŸ™‚
