This week’s book giveaway is for the inspirational historical romance book Follow the Heart by Kaye Dacus.
What is this book about?
Amid the Industrial Revolution and Great Exhibition of 1851, Kate and Christopher Dearing’s lives turn upside down when their father loses everything in a railroad land speculation. Shipped off to relatives in England, the siblings are given one edict: marry wealth.
At twenty-seven, Kate has the stigma of being passed over by eligible men many times–and that was before she had no dowry. Christopher would prefer to make his own way in the world. And with a law degree plus expertise in the burgeoning railroad industry, he was primed to do just that–in America.
Although family tires to ensure Kate and Christopher find marriage prospects only among the highest echelon of British society, their attentions stray to a gardener and a governess.
Mandates…money…matrimony. As tensions mount, who will follow the hear?

I actually like gardens both ways. I can see the beauty that God has created. I’m anxious for spring to get in my gardens. Blessings
Thanks for commenting Lucy. 🙂
I have always liked English style gardens that are planned so that some areas look untamed and wild while other areas are kept so they look neatly in order and pruned. Yes, I would want both.
Some of those English gardens are sooo beautiful. Thanks for commenting Roxanne. 🙂
Sounds like a fun book to read! Enjoy reading about that time period.

😀 LOL Jan. I can appreciate that. Thanks for commenting.
The only way to have a profitable garden is to keep the weeds and critters out, water it and fertilize it.
Thanks for commenting Vivian. 🙂
I’m not a gardener, but I like to see well tended ones other people have. 🙂 But I love seeing pictures of various wild flowers in a field or forest!
Thank you for the giveaway chance for a book & author I’ve never heard of. This book sounds good.
You’re welcome Trixi. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
I’m not a gardener. I think they would have to been tended to in order to be productive. Weeds can choke the life out of what you are trying to grow.
Thanks for commenting Caryl. 🙂
I have a black thumb unfortunately but I am somewhere in between. Visually I like to view a garden that is neat but also naturally wild. Thanks.
Thanks for commenting Nancy. 🙂
I like a vegetable garden very neat by controlling the weeds. I’ve had it both ways and even though it is a lot of work to keep the weeds out, it is well worth the effort.
Thanks for commenting Sally. 🙂
