Giveaway at Loraine Nunley's website: Jed Patrick series by Mike Dellosso #BookGiveawayThis week’s book giveaway is for the suspense fiction Jed Patrick series by Mike Dellosso. You can read my review for Centralia here and for Kill Devil here.

Where can I learn more about this author and their books?

Mike Dellosso, author website

One of my favorite genres to read is Christian suspense. I love a page turning book. 🙂 These books were really interesting because everything that Jed thinks he knows about himself and others around him are completely upended. He doesn’t know who to trust. He’s not sure if he can even trust himself.

One of the discussion questions at the end of Kill Devil is the question I am putting in the comment requirement because it really made me think about how I discern the advice that I get.

  1. A person can discern good counsel from bad counsel by spending time in prayer and seeking God’s will. Thank you. Have a blessed day.

  2. Tough question! If I had some big situation come up and I needed advice I certainly wouldn’t get advice from any random person but from those I already have a relationship with and know and trust. And of course it should match up with scripture.

  3. There are many well meaning folks out there that love to “give counsel”. God’s word is the best source for me, after seeking His face and totally submitting to Him.

  4. The Holy Spirit enables me to discern good counsel from bad. There will be a “check” in my spirit.

  5. By much prayer and seeking God, He will give you the wisdom if you ask! And if the counsel doesn’t line up with His word, then discard it no matter how good it sounds!

Thank you for the giveaway chance, I think my husband would enjoy these. 🙂

  6. Discernment comes through familiarity with the bible, and through prayer. Also, the counsel of wise people helps. Only God can. help us rightly discern.

  7. Where did you get that counsel?
    Do you trust the source?
Is it in line with the Bible?
Pray through all of that and you will know
