Todayβs book giveaway is for the inspirational historical fiction book Love Comes Home by Ann H. Gabhart.
Synopsis from the back of the book:
World War II is finally over and the people of Rosey Corner are joyfully welcoming the boys home. The Merritt sisters in particular are looking toward the future. Kate is eager to start a family and live out her dream of happily ever after with Jay. Evangeline craves a beautiful house and encourages Mike to pastor a big-town church. Victoria wants what can never be. And Lorena is growing up and wondering more and more about her birth family.
Each sister must learn to hold her plans with a loose hand, trusting that God will guide and strengthen them as they share the joys and sorrows of life in their little corner of the world.

Thanks for sharing Sabrina. π
I have a dear friend that I say is my sister by choice if not by birth. Although we live in different states and don’t get to see each other but couple times a year, we keep up with each other as needed and talk every Wednesday night on the phone. She was my lifeline while we were full time caregivers for Mom with cancer and Alzheimer. Don’t think there is a more generous person in the world. I love her greatly for everything she is.
That is completely awesome Kay. What a blessing to have a friend like that. π
yes, i have friends who are my” sisters from another mother”! lol
Thanks for commenting Shelia. π
I have one sister 9 yrs. younger than I am. There are three brothers in between. Because of our ages we were never close, until both of our kids were in grade school all day and we decided that we wanted to get to know each other better. So we started exercising and now we are best of friends. I adore my little sister. She is the most wonderful lady with God as her guide.

My cousin is 11 years older than me and was raised by my paternal grandparents so I was with her a lot growing up. I have always considered her the sister I didn’t have and after my Daddy died she was like daughter to my Mom. During the last 6 weeks of Mom’s life Phyllis was with us much more than a niece by marriage would ever be expected to be!
I love your story Connie. Isn’t it wonderful how God molds families together? π

I do have a sister. She was born on my first bday. Everyone always finds that to be really neat. Sharing a bday was hard when it came to blowing out the candles. We would always argue over who got to blow them out first.
