Where can I learn more about this author and their books?
One thing I am always curious about when I read a book is how the author comes up with the names for their characters. Do you ever wonder that? In this book, one of the characters was named Izannah which was so interesting to me because I had never heard of that name before.
Have you come across a character name that you have never heard before?

I’m new to this blog but it looks so interesting! I really enjoyed your reviews.
Welcome to my website Paula and thanks so much! ๐
The character name I found interesting was Sabine in For Love &Honor by Jody Hedlund. I had never heard it before. Thank you for the chance. Blessings
That is an unusual name Lucy. It’s pretty as well. ๐
Believe it or not I just now read The Borrowers for the first time. I’ll be 63 tomorrow! Somehow I missed this book growing up. Pod, Homily, and Arriety Clock struck me as very odd!
You know what Gail? I have never read The Borrowers. Those names are definitely unusual. ๐
Cheney Duvall and Shiloh There is a Cheney Duvall M.D series by Lynn Morris and Gilbert Morris. It is a fun series where we wonder where God is leading spiritually Cheney and her male nurse Shiloh.
Oh those are unusual names too Lori. ๐
I find the name Rosabel from Forgotten & Remembered: The Duke’s Late Wife by Bree Wolf as an unusual combination of Rosa and Belle. Pretty though. Thanks for the giveaway and good luck everyone.
That is an different name Debbie. I like the combination. ๐
I just started reading Jen Turano’s newest book, Behind the Scenes. The main female character’s name is Permilia. Never heard that one before. Thanks for the chance to win a book.
Oh, I am so looking forward to reading that one Vickie. I love Jen’s books. Permilia is definitely a name I have never heard before. ๐
I thought Sorrel in Sarah Eden’s “Friends & Foes” was unique.
That is unique MomIsReading. ๐
I’ve definitely came across names I have never heard but truthfully I don’t like weird names that sound like people just started writing down letters when they think they are being original. It’s just me personal preference I like Old Fashioned names or what I call eccentric names but they are still able to be pronounced easy enough like Heaven or Starr.
I have to agree with that Linda. I have trouble reading stories if I have trouble pronouncing the character names. It takes me out of the story.
I liked Avelina in The Beautiful Pretender by Melanie Dickerson. I’m not crazy about names I have trouble pronouncing but that one was pretty.
That is an different name Pam. I haven’t heard it before. ๐
Amaryllis from Dawn Crandall’s Everstone series is an unusual name.
Oh, I forgot about that one. I thought that name was pretty interesting too Heidi. ๐
My computer is acting up, so I am unsure if my original post went through.
I love the name Rachel from the Bible so much that it became my first daughter’s name!
I got your comment now Janice. ๐ I think Rachel is such a pretty name.
My favorite literary name is from a children’s book series–Pippi Longstocking.
Oh I loved that book series Danielle. ๐
i like the name Rayna from Shannon Taylor Vannatter’s rodeo series
I think Rayna is a pretty interesting name Shelia. ๐
I don’t mind unusual character names as long as I can figure out how to pronounce them.
I get stuck in the reading if I don’t know how to pronounce the names too Winnie. ๐ฎ
I liked the name Melaine from The Tradd Street series by Karen White.
That is interesting Dianne. ๐
I love this author! This book cover is beautiful! I can’t wait to read the story! Thanks for sharing!
Also, the character name that I find interesting, Evangelia used by Lis Bergren is the River of Time series. I think that it is a beautifully unique name and I love that it shortens to her nickname, Lia.
That is a pretty name Virginia. I’ve never heard of that nickname for it but I think that is pretty too. ๐
Welcome to my website Virginia and good luck! ๐
