Todayβs book giveaway is for the inspirational historical fiction book Masquerade by Nancy Moser.
Synopsis from the back of the book:
1886. Charlotte Gleason embarks from England with conflicting emotions. She is headed for New York to marry one of America’s wealthiest heirs — a man she has never even met. When her doubts gain the upper hand, she swaps identities with her maid, Dora. She wants a chance at “real life,” even if it means giving up financial security. For Charlotte, it’s a risk she’s willing to take. But what begins as the whim of a spoiled rich girl becomes a test of survival beyond her blackest nightmare.
For Dora, it’s the chance of a lifetime. She is thrust into a fairy tale amid ball gowns and lavish mansions, yet is tormented by the possibility of discovery — and humiliation. And what of the man who believes she is indeed his intended? Is this what her heart truly longs for?

I love the beach! Any beach is great, but I especially love the Caribbean beaches with there bright blue water. It’s peaceful and beautiful. I love the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and find it very relaxing.
That does sound like such a great place MomIsReading. π
I love camping in our RV! Especially anywhere close to water. Love sitting outside with a coffee and a nice breeze (and a book in my hand!).
I think just about any place is better with a book in hand, don’t you Gail? π
wherever I am surrounded by nature. Especially in the Mountains
Mountains are definitely awe inspiring Lori. π
I am always inspired at the beach. Our favorite is Emerald Isle, NC. I feel closer to God when I’m sitting with my toes in the sand watching the waves.
That sounds so inspiring Connie. I just looked up images of that beach. It is beautiful. π
I am also very inspired by the beach but I also adore forests and secluded little creeks and rivers surrounded by flower fields. I am blessed to have such beautiful places around here in Northern California. This book sounds so good!
That is wonderful that you live in an area where you can have variety like that Diana. π
I love being in the mountains. We have a beautiful lake up the canyon from where we live. I love to go there and walk around the lake. The wildflowers are gorgeous in July.
I love that Winnie. π
My special place that inspires me is in the Ozark Mountains. It’s so peaceful and serene. Every time I go there the pace of life slows down giving me time to appreciate all the little things in life. We are really blessed in that we found a gorgeous piece of property there and are in the process of having our dream home built. Now that it’s just hubby and I it’s time to slow down every day, enjoy life and count our blessings. π
Oh my goodness Kay. That sounds absolutely amazing. π You are blessed.
I don’t have a special place. I guess I’m just inspired at home. After all that’s where the Is. Blessings
Oh I don’t know Lucy. It sounds to me like you just named your special place. π
The beauty and peace of the water of Lake Michigan is inspiring to me. I like to visit the beach whenever I get the chance.
I love that Dianne. Lake Michigan is so beautiful. π
Where it is quiet and I can think I have 3 kids and I am a stay at home mom so literally anywhere quiet lol
I’m a stay at home mom too Linda so I can relate to that. π
Many different places can inspire me, depending on my situation at the time. Sometimes it’s riding hours on my lawn mower, other times it’s time with a friend and doesn’t matter where, or else a quiet place where I can sit and enjoy nature. Bonus if it’s warm, the sun is shining and I can hear waves rolling in….
That is awesome that you can find inspiration in so many places Arletta. π
I find inspiration in the stories I read. π I also enjoy being out in nature surrounded by the Lord’s creation.
Books are some of the best place to find inspiration Caryl. π
I think a quiet forest trail. Nature and beauty!
I can so relate to that Paula. π
