This week’s book giveaway is for the inspirational historical romance book The Courtship of the Vicar’s Daughter by Lawana Blackwell.

What is this book about?

As the wedding of Julia Hollis and Vicar Andrew Phelps approaches, the quaint English village of Gresham buzzes with thoughts and feelings of love. And it seems no one is immune. From Squire Bartley to kindhearted Mercy Sanders, the townsfolk of Gresham are feeling the effects of Cupid’s arrow.

Affected most distinctly is Elizabeth Phelps. With her father about to remarry, Elizabeth discovers she’s captured the attentions of a dashing young curate determined to win her hand. But before she can determine if she truly returns his admiration, the man who once broke her heart returns, seeking to prove he’s changed and he’s now worthy of her affection. Who will win the hand of the vicar’s daughter?

  5. One of the happy transition moments is when the father and mother give their daughter to her groom and the love and sadness mixed with joy crosses their faces and then the joy on the groom’s face as he accepts the joyous task of taking on the responsibility of loving and caring for his bride.

  6. During the ceremony as the bride and groom look at each other and right after that when they turn around and come down the aisle looking so happy (and finally over)!

  7. All the reception stuff
