  1. I have lived in a rural area for over 30 years now…but grew up in a big city, learning how to take the city bus around downtown St. Paul, MN–I definitely prefer the rural area. I get my library books from the bookmobile that comes to my town about every 3 weeks! πŸ™‚

    1. I would definitely have to be near someplace to get books (bookstore, library, etc.). Thanks for commenting Barb. πŸ™‚

  2. I live in rural WV and lived in rural WI. I also lived in the suburbs of Cleveland. Give me wide open spaces.

  3. I’d rather live in a small town. My town is the perfect size, and it’s close to a larger town. We have kind of a country feel, but we’re close enough to the larger town that we can participate in the amenities there. I grew up here, and when I got married we lived in a big city for 30 years. I never felt like it was “home”. When we retired we moved back here and love it!

    1. Thanks for commenting Winnie. πŸ™‚

Would you consider your town to be like a Hallmark town? I did a blog post wondering if small towns like the ones in the Hallmark movies existed in real life. Lots of people wondered the same thing.

  4. I choose small town over big city. I am from a small town and love visiting the city but its overwhelming and too much chaos for me.

  5. I am definitely a small town girl! I have lived in both. WAAAAY too many years in Las Vegas, Nevada and 6 years in Louisville, KY. I’m back home in Hamilton, Montana and I wouldn’t have it any other way. (God may change my desires at any time though)

    1. Is your small town like a Hallmark movie Zoe? I’ve been wondering if those kinds of towns actually exist outside of fiction. πŸ™‚

  6. Having lived in both, I seem to prefer small towns partly to the people and he environment.
