Such an interesting premise. To follow a traditional garment, such as a wedding gown, as it is passed down from one woman to another is a story worth reading.

  1. My heirloom is a silver tea set that my mom’s foster mother had. Now I have it and can pass it down to my daughter.

  2. My dad bought my grandmother some China when he was in Japan. My grandmother passed it down to me and I passed it down to my granddaughter. I also passed down a quilt made by my mom and grandmother to my son when his first child was born. He has now passed it down to his daughter when she had my great grandson.

  3. I have my great aunts teapot (made in occupied Japan) that I inherited from my grandmother. My great uncle brought it back when he served in WWII.

  4. I have a couch that was my great grandparents a chair that was my g’mas and several other items that belonged to my g’ma

  5. Jewelry of course and my wedding dress if she wants it and we just got my husband’s grandmother’s Cedar Chest so of course we will pass that on to our daughter

  6. I have my grandfather’s piano that is about 120 years old. I also have my great-grandmother’s china set. She died in 1960 at age 90, so it’s very old. I love old things, especially when they are connected to my family.

I’ve never listened to an audio book, but I’d love the chance to try one.

  7. I have my grandpa’s railroad watch. Thank you for sharing. Blessings

  8. Sadly, I lost a sister a few years back in a car accident. I have a few little things from her, but especially her set of dishes. I don’t use them but will probably always keep them because they were hers.

    1. I’m so sorry for your loss Patty. What a blessing it is for you to have those dishes that remind you of her. Thank you for sharing that with us. πŸ™‚
