Sarah Sundin, author website

Sarah Sundin is one of my go-to authors for historical romances. I am fascinated by the WWII era and I love that I learn new things about it when I read her books. Her books have strong characters, suspenseful storylines, great romance, and entertaining history to boot.

I am so excited to be able to share this series with you. This giveaway is for the entire series – yes, that is all THREE books. There are lots of ways to enter, but don’t let that scare you because you only need to do one thing to enter. Having said that, I would LOVE for you to share it all around social media so that we can introduce others to a great author.

  1. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity, Loraine!! I won’t mention names, however, some of my most inspiring friends are 3 Christian Fiction authors I am prayer warriors with and with whom I have a close friendship – such godly women, in addition to their writing gift!!

  2. oh my goodness!!! >A < friend who has influenced me? Just one??? In the writing business alone, there are countless authors I consider friends who have had some influence on me! Blogs I follow (Sarah is one!) too many to name, 'cause there's not room (or time) to list them all! Especially seeing other Indie authors success, is VERY encouraging to me!!!

  3. My best friend helps me to be a better and giving person. She helps me to keep getting too worked up about the little things.

  4. Have followed Sarah since her debut novel and always greatly enjoy her books. A friend of mine encouraged me to take additional post grad courses to change my job focus into a more interesting sector.

  5. My mom is my best friend and she influences me to be a woman of Christlike values. I watch her as she struggles with health issues and she never complains, but continues to share Christ. TY for the chance. Glad you are back, as I missed you.

  6. A different friend named Sarah P. has been a wonderful influence for me. When we moved 3 months ago, she helped more than anyone of my friends. She helped me pack, drove a distance to get lots and lots of boxes, helped on moving day, carrying boxes and furniture, washed floors, to name a few. She is a teacher as well as a pastor’s wife and has the most positive attitude all the time.

  7. I have a friend who has many health issues but keeps doing as much as she can on her good days. she never gives up!

  8. Probably the most influential friend that I have is my husband. Over the years I have had several friends that have been close but may not be as close now because of geography. At the moment a friend from church ‘keeps me in line’. And of course, my two adult daughters are good for me too…elbowing me at the right moments, praying for me and just doing things together! Thanks for the opportunity to win one of Sarah’s books. I have enjoyed several of hers.

  9. My best friend has influenced me more than any other friend! She’s there for me every time I need her, and gives me advice even if it’s something I don’t want to hear but that I need to hear. She’s like a sister to me and I don’t know what I’d do without her! 🙂

  10. Thank you for the giveaway!!!! I love Sarah’s books and enjoy her day in WWII history posts on Facebook. I am inspired by a good Christian friend who battles MS. Whatever I am suffering with pales in comparison.

    1. Welcome to my website Jennifer! It is so tough watching friends suffer, isn’t it? What a testimony to your friend that they are an inspiration in the midst of their trials. Thanks for sharing that. 🙂

  11. Thank you for the giveaway. My most influential friend would be a friend I went to school with, am still; friends with 16 years later, and she even allows me to be an “aunt” to her boys!

  12. Thanks for this giveaway of Sarah’s books, which I love! I have many supportive friends but one in particular faithfully prays for me and sends me greeting cards of encouragement (with handwritten notes, even! 🙂 )

  13. What a great contest! Sarah Sundin is such a meticulous researcher for her books…one of my favorite authors. I haven’t read this series yet so would love to win!

    1. Oh I agree Mardell. I learn so much about WWII when I read her books and she makes it so enjoyable to learn! Welcome to my website. 🙂

  14. My sister is my best friend and she has influenced my life in countless ways for as long as I can remember. One way that stands out to me currently though is that she has supported and encouraged me in my desire to go back to school for my graduate degree when others didn’t necessarily think that I should. I am so glad I listened to my sister/friend because now I am so close to achieving my dreams!

  15. I have a friend (who I’m now across the country from) who always made me feel special and wanted each time I saw her. She is full of life and laughter! It’s good to have a friend who listens when you talk, and encourages you, pointing out your strengths and gifts. I hope I can be that friend to other people too! 🙂

And … I love Sarah Sundin’s books! She is a spectacular author! 🙂

    Thanks and blessings!

  16. I actually have 2 – they both live out loving their God, husband, children, and friends. They are thoughtful, resourceful, helpful and not afraid to let me know if I’m heading off track. I am so thankful for them! They are the sisters I always wished for.

    1. How neat Julie! I don’t have any sisters so I just love the fact that your friends are that to you. Welcome to my website! 🙂

  17. I met my friend Hannah on Twitter. We followed the same web series, one day she sent me a private message telling me how the quotes and verses I’d been sharing on my Twitter had been just what her heart had needed and were answering struggles and doubts she’d been dealing with. We started conversing in PM about her struggles, and we just clicked. A week later we were on text, then two weeks later we video-chatted, and we did that every night for the next four months. It’s now 2.5 years later, and we still talk almost daily one way or the other. She has been a safe place during some of my darkest times, the friend I’ve prayed for for a long time. There are no conditions or pretenses with her, nor any shame or condemnation. We can simply be ourselves–the good and the bad–and be safe and be loved. She doesn’t give up on our friendship when it gets hard, and her friendship and kindred-spirit-ness has been a source of healing and comfort since day 1. I don’t know where I would be without her, but I pray I never have to find out!

    1. Wow Amber. I almost have no words. That is truly awesome! 🙂 Welcome to my website and thanks so much for sharing that with us.

  18. Thanks for this opportunity, Lorraine. After reading one of Sarah Sundin’s early books, I feel like she is a friend. We’ve corresponded about World War II events (I was a little kid during that time), and she was very gracious to me.
    Love her writing.

    1. You’re welcome Lois. I’ve only had interactions with Sarah on social media, but I also find her to be very kind. She writes such great stories. Welcome to my website! 🙂

  19. One of my best friends dragged me off to college with her–one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. And then she brought people home with her all the time, some of which are among our dearest friends to this day. (Can you tell who’s the introvert and who’s the extrovert in this relationship?) And, as others have said, we can share pretty much anything with each other–hurts, worries, fears, joys.

    1. Oh how neat Rachael! I love it when a friend pushes us to be more than we thought we could be. Thanks for sharing that. 🙂

  20. Thanks for this amazing giveaway!! My best friend is a gift from God. I met her when I was in sixth grade. The year before I had been bullied a lot and then I changed schools and so the whole summer my mom and I prayed that God would give me a good friend and he did. And now 8 or 9 years later and we are the best friends ever and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. We both help each other grow in God and it not only draws us closer to Him but it strengthens our friendship too.

  21. Wow!! I love all the comments that everyone is leaving. This post is getting some good traction (thanks to Sarah Sundin and my newsletter subscribers). 🙂 I just wanted to leave a general comment here to tell all of you how touched I am about the friendships that you are sharing here. Please keep sharing because the comments are a lift to my spirit and I am sure that others are feeling that too. Thanks!

  22. I have six sisters. Two of them passed away 6 years ago. I also have 2 brothers. We are all the best of friends and are very close. It’s so nice to have people I can turn to that I know love me unconditionally and will stick with me no matter what, and I do the same for them! Close family is such a blessing!

    1. That is wonderful Winnie! You are truly blessed to have a close family. Welcome to my website and thanks for sharing that. 🙂

  23. Some of my friends have made me a better reader of human character. Learning to understand their differences, read their personalities, and dig deeper into what they need or are trying to say. They are all different and so beautifully unique, getting to know them has been a gift.

  24. The one friend who has influenced me the most is my husband…yes he is still a great friend 🙂 He always has the best advice, laughter for times of stress, knows just what to say and prays fervently about everything! God has blessed him with an extra measure of faith & he makes me want to be a more godly person! 🙂

Thanks for the wonderful giveaway Laraine! Three books by one of my most recent favorite authors….yay!

  25. Love Sarah’s books and would love to win this giveaway!I have severval friends who are battling cancer and other diseases that always makes me grateful to be reasonably healthy.

    1. Oh, that is so tough Sheila. Our health is something we just can’t take for granted, isn’t it? Thanks for sharing that. 🙂

  26. I don’t have a lot of friends, but my sister is my best friend. She listens to me and encourages me. 🙂

  27. My husband is my best friend and he’s influenced me with his outgoing personality, now I’m not as shy as I used to be and reach out to make new friends more easily.
