Falling For You by Becky Wade | Book Review by Loraine Nunley

Synopsis of the book:

Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is reveling in the peace and quiet of her hometown right up until the moment she comes face-to-face with her ex-boyfriend, Corbin Stewart.

Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants…except where Willow is concerned. He’s never been able to forget her, but Willow makes it crystal clear she’s unwilling to risk her heart again.

When a decades-old mystery in Corbin’s family brings them together, will the heartbreak in their past and the complications in their present keep them from falling for one another all over again?

My review:

Loved it!

That sums it up.

This romance has it all — Good characters, a flowing, page turning story, and most of all, a tingle-all-over romance. Added to that was a faith thread woven so neatly throughout that I felt like I was witnessing God’s acceptance of a personal friend.

How does this author do that?

Willow and Corbin had a history which ended badly. Circumstances force them together and they must battle their attraction for one another in the midst of bad feelings.

I loved that these were two famous people (a professional model and football player) that were so down to earth. In particular, I loved Willow’s quirks. They made me laugh and really relate to her. She also struggled with forgiving herself for past choices and receiving God’s unconditional acceptance. It was beautifully shown.

Corbin was arrogant and confident, but his strength lied in his determination. When he turned that determination on Willow — Wow. 😮 It made for a lot of sizzle between them.

Willow’s relationship with her sisters was another beautiful thread in this romantic tapestry. (And if you haven’t read her sister Nora’s story – True to You, go get it right now.) I loved the ease of their relationship and the acceptance that Willow found in them as well.

I could gush. Truly. This was such a wonderful romance. The author adds some additional interacting via text, phone calls, and news articles. These sprinkled throughout were unusual in the story telling and fun to read.

What I enjoyed most about this book:

I cannot pick one thing. I loved it all. The romance. The inspirational journey. The mystery. The family relationships. It was all good.

What I didn’t like about this book:

Nothing. Oh wait. That I have to wait now for the third book.

My rating:  5 out of 5 stars

Would I recommend this book to others? Absolutely. I loved the sizzling romance, the real characters, the family emphasis, and the wonderfully handled inspirational thread. This is the second book in this series. It is a standalone and you will not be lost at all if you start with the book. But you should also read the first book because it was awesome as well.

Note: I received this book complimentary as a participant of the Prism Book Tour. I was not required to give a positive review. All of the opinions I have expressed here are my own.
