Today begins the first series giveaway in my Love Inspired Historical book giveaway bonanza!
This was such a nice series to read. I enjoyed meeting all of the characters, particularly the three men. This was one of those series that ended with a sigh of contentment for everything being right in the world. I would love to visit Sanctuary Bay. If you look on Jo Ann’s website, you will see some pictures that are the inspiration for this village. I especially liked the descriptions in the books of the slope as everyone walked through town. Her picture is exactly what I pictured in my head when I read the series.
The Dutiful Daughter (Sanctuary Bay #1)
Back of the book: Sophia Meriweather will—if all goes as it should—marry the heir to her father’s estate. If she’s to secure her family’s future, Sophia must put her would-be groom’s best friend from her mind. But keeping the darkly handsome widower and his two young children out of her heart is proving nearly impossible. Charles Winthrop, Lord Northbridge, doesn’t believe in love. Lovely Sophia may have charmed his normally silent children, but, for a man of honor and duty, she was a wife he dared not wish for. Yet nothing is as simple as it seems—especially when it comes to matters of the heart….
A Hero For Christmas (Sanctuary Bay #2)
Back of the Book: Jonathan Bradby would gladly return to fighting the French if it meant avoiding his new title: war hero. Only he knows the reputation isn’t deserved. Then a visit to Sanctuary Bay brings renewed acquaintance with the lovely Lady Catherine Meriweather. He’s drawn to her, yet Cat surely deserves a real hero.
Overwhelmed with organizing a Yuletide celebration and her sister’s wedding, Cat gladly accepts Jonathan’s help. Soon she sees the gentle heart he conceals beneath his wit. But Jonathan’s need to prove himself could drive them apart—unless they’re bold enough to seize the unexpected gift of love.
A Bride for the Baron (Sanctuary Bay #3)
Back of the book: Vera Fenwick is everything a vicar’s sister should be—helpful, modest and sensible. She knows the perils of falling for a man above her station, but it does no harm to admire Edmund Herriott, Lord Meriweather—from afar. She’s perfectly content to help him restore the local rectory…and she’s much too reasonable to risk her heart.
Working alongside Vera to rebuild the church and foil a smuggling ring is restoring the confidence Edmund lost in battle.
Vera may be sure she’s not suited to be an aristocrat’s wife, but Edmund is utterly confident of one thing—that this unexpected love was built to last.
All of the books in this giveaway bonanza have been used but most of them look almost new. Keep in mind that because this is a series, the books are good condition, but are a little more “loved” than some of the others.
The fourth giveaway I am having is for three Love Inspired Historical books: The Dutiful Daughter, A Hero for Christmas, and A Bride for the Baron (The Sanctuary Bay series) by Jo Ann Brown.
