Welcome to this unboxing of a the I Smell Books subscription box for August 2021.

I have found some wonderful subscription boxes. My YouTube channel is full of video unboxing’s if you are interested. I also share my unboxing’s on my sister website for those boxes that are not books.

By far, my favorite boxes are the ones with the books in them. And those unboxing’s I share on this website.

I purchased this box from the I Smell Books Subscription Book Box website. I did not subscribe, I got this box as a one-time purchase. This is a monthly subscription service. You can choose the YA fiction or Classic fiction box. The boxes include one new fiction book, and 4+ theme related items.

What did I get in this box? I am going to share the contents with you here. My review is not for the book or the items I received, but instead will be for the unboxing experience.

Unboxing

The box was arrived well labeled so I knew what was inside.

The first item in the box was a lip mask.

The second item in the box was a handmade candle.

The third item in the box was a container of dried Hibiscus Flower tea.

The fourth item in the box was a package of Keratin Socks.

The fifth item in the box was an Aloe Supercharged face mask.

The sixth item in the box was a Vanilla lip balm.

The seventh item in the box was a bookmark and library check out pocket.

The eighth item in the box was a code for an e-copy of The Rejected King by Kourtney Keisel.

The ninth item in the box was a set of postcards.

The last item in the box was the featured book, She Wouldn’t Change a Thing by Sarah Adlakha.

This is everything I received in the box.

Review

What I liked:

  • I could make a one-time purchase of the box without subscribing.
  • Fun and unique lit inspired products.
  • Everything was packaged well.
  • Quality book.

What I didn’t like:

  • The tea

Overall Opinion

I really enjoyed opening this box. The products were interesting. I wish I drank tea. 😉 My favorite products were the candle and the library checkout card bookmark. However, the book was definitely the star for me. I loved the hardcover edition. I hope it is a clean read. I’m keeping an eye on this service for possible subscribing. There is discount when subscribing versus purchasing one time.

The subscription service is $45.99 per box (classic)/$35.99 per box (YA) plus $12 shipping.
