Welcome to this unboxing of the My Bookie Box book subscription box for July 2021.
By far, my favorite boxes are the ones with the books in them. And those unboxings I share on this website.
I order this subscription through Cratejoy (affiliate link). The box that I subscribed to is the monthly box which includes a book, two full sized cookies, book swag and a bookie gift. I was drawn to this service because all of the books are clean reads and are indie or small press published. Members are also invited to virtual book events.
What did I get in my box this month? I am going to share the contents with you here. My review is not for the book or the items I received because I haven’t read/used them yet, but instead will be for the content and subscription experience.
The box arrived in good shape and well labeled.
Right on top was a list of what items were in the box along with the book.
The first item in the box was a Key Lime cookie from Local Cookie Co in South Jordan, UT.
The second item in the box was a Kit Kat cookie from Local Cookie Co in South Jordan, UT.
The third item in the box was a Mini Wallet by Tiny Gift Society.
The fourth item in the box was a Natural Born Thriller compact mirror by Trixie & Milo.
The fifth item in the box was the author swag which included an art print from Fair Isle Trilogy, Curse of the Wolf King bookmark, and a link to the short story, To Rule a Fae Throne.
And the sixth item in the box was the book… Twisting Minds by Tessonja Odette. It is Thriller Fiction.
Here is everything I received in the box.
What I liked:
- The book selections are clean reads
- The books are indie or small press published
- The cookies are huge and there are two of them!
- There are interesting gifts
- Everything was packaged well
- Members have access to virtual book events
What I didn’t like:
I’m impressed with this subscription box. My mouth is watering over those huge cookies. I like that they are different flavors than the previous month. The key lime cookie was pretty dense so I hope it will be completely cooked. 😉 The book selection this month was from a genre I do not usually read so I will be stepping out of my comfort zone. I like that these books are clean reads so I can explore other genres safely. I really enjoyed opening this box and cannot wait to read a new to me author and enjoy the cookies.
This subscription service is $48.99 and includes shipping.
