Welcome to this unboxing of the My Bookie Box book subscription box for September 2021. FINAL BOX!

I have found some wonderful boxes. My YouTube channel is full of video unboxings if you are interested. I also share my unboxings on my sister website for those boxes that are not books.

By far, my favorite boxes are the ones with the books in them. And those unboxings I share on this website.

I order this subscription through Cratejoy (affiliate link). The box that I subscribed to is the monthly box which includes a book, two full sized cookies, book swag and a bookie gift. I was drawn to this service because all of the books are clean reads and are indie or small press published. Members also get inside information from the authors.

What did I get in my box this month? I am going to share the contents with you here. My review is not for the book or the items I received because I haven’t read/used them yet, but instead will be for the content and subscription experience.

Unboxing

  • The box arrived in good shape and well labeled.
  • Right on top was a list of what items were in the box along with the book.
  • The first item in the box was an Almond Joy cookie from Local Cookie Co in South Jordan, UT.
  • The second item in the box was a Magic cookie (Graham Cracker, Butterscotch & Milk Chocolate Chips, Coconut) from Local Cookie Co in South Jordan, UT.
  • The third item in the box was the gift: a Pretty Little Things Trinket Dish and a Thank You Card by Stephanie Tara Stationery.
  • The fourth item in the box was the author swag: character art, a bookmark, signed bookplate and special edition letter from the author.
  • And the fifth item in the box was the book… The Storyteller’s Daughter by Victoria McCombs. It is Young Adult Fantasy.

Here is everything I received in the box.

Review

What I liked:

  • The book selections are clean reads
  • The books are indie or small press published
  • The cookies are huge and there are two of them!
  • There are interesting gifts
  • Everything was packaged well
  • Members have access to inside information from authors

What I didn’t like:

  • This is the FINAL box – they are closing their doors. 🙁

Overall Opinion

This is one of my favorite book subscription boxes. The huge cookies are always so good. I like that they are different flavors than the previous month. The book selection this month was from a genre that I do read but I am not familiar with the author so that will be a little bit out of my comfort zone. I like that these books are clean reads so I can explore other new to me authors safely. I really enjoyed opening this box and cannot wait to read the book and enjoy the cookies. I am really sad that My Bookie Box is closing its doors. I will miss this box. Hopefully they will re-open again in the future.

This subscription service is $48.99 and includes shipping.
