I have found some wonderful subscription boxes. My YouTube channel is full of video unboxing’s if you are interested. I also share my unboxing’s on my sister website for those boxes that are not books.

By far, my favorite boxes are the ones with the books in them. And those unboxing’s I share on this website.

This is my first purchase from the Unplugged Book Box (affiliate link). I did not subscribe, I got this box as a one-time purchase to try it out. This is a monthly subscription service. You can choose the YA fiction or adult fiction box. The boxes include one new fiction book, and 4-6 high quality lit-inspired self-care and novelty products.

What did I get in this box? I am going to share the contents with you here. My review is not for the book or the items I received, but instead will be for the unboxing experience.

The box was arrived well labeled so I knew what was inside.

There was a product card inside giving information on the contents.

The first item in the box was a bookish blanket with Stephen King Quote.

The second item in the box was a set of collectible fantasy map placemats.

The third item in the box was a container of lip scrub.

The fourth item in the box was a dessert spoon and fork set.

The fifth item in the box was a peppermint salve

The sixth item in the box was a bookmark, bookplate and note from author.

The last item in the box was the featured book, My Fine Fellow by Jennieke Cohen.

This is everything I received in the box.

Check out the unboxing video on YouTube!

What I liked:

  • I could make a one-time purchase of the box without subscribing.
  • Fun and unique lit inspired products.
  • Everything was packaged well.
  • Quality hardcover book.

What I didn’t like:

  • Nothing

Overall Opinion

I really enjoyed opening this box. The products were fun and curated nicely to fit either the book or the literary theme. My favorite products are the blanket and the dessert set but the book was definitely the star for me. Many of the titles that this service offers are not my usual reads so I won’t be subscribing however I like that I can order a one-time purchase if a book selection catches my attention – which is what happened with this box. 🙂 I’m keeping an eye on this service.

I paid $51.34 for the one time box. The subscription service is $39.99 per box plus $9.35 shipping so it is a little cheaper to subscribe.

    1. I haven’t read YA in awhile as well Dianna. I’m looking forward to reading this one though. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
