Welcome to Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways for 2023!
The Rules: Each day will have its own giveaway that will run for 7 days. You can enter all of the giveaways or just the ones that strike your fancy. All of the giveaways will only be open to those with US addresses.
Every day there will be special word(s) that you will need to put together the special quote for the Day 12 giveaway. That quote and entry in one of the other 11 giveaways will be required to enter the Day 12 giveaway.
This giveaway is for the classic novel The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Today’s special word is: speaking
Book covers tempt us to look at the back cover blurb. The blurb tempts us to open the pages. The first line tempts us to read further. That’s quite a bit of pressure for those first lines but there are some great ones. One of my favorite first lines in a novel is from The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip by Sara Brunsvold,
Clara Kip had prayed repeatedly to die in São Paulo.
Giveaway
To enter the giveaway, just fill out the Rafflecopter form below. Open to all readers with US mailing addresses only. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law. The winner will be notified via email and will have one week to respond back to me with their info. Good Luck and Thank You for stopping by!
The comment requirement for this giveaway is: Share a favorite first line from a novel.
