Welcome to Day 5 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways for 2024!
The Rules: Each day will have its own giveaway that will run for 7 days. You can enter all of the giveaways or just the ones that strike your fancy. All of the giveaways will only be open to those with US addresses.
Every day there will be special word(s) that you will need to put together the special quote for the Day 12 giveaway. That quote and entry in one of the other 11 giveaways will be required to enter the Day 12 giveaway.
This giveaway is for the inspirational contemporary romance novel A Husband for Christmas by Gail Gaymer Martin.
Today’s special word is: true
Since I am drafting my novels and learning the craft of writing, it can be hard to turn off that editor in my head even when I’m reading other peoples stories. Because of that, I absolutely love it when a story surprises me. There have been a few this year, and the one I’ll share here is, Summer Ever After by Kortney Keisel. It’s been a very long time since I’ve laughed out loud so much while reading (or in this case, listening) to a novel.

The book that surprised me was An Unexpected Catch by Abbey Downey. It highlighted women’s baseball and how it was a struggle to get funds and recognition for a sport that everyone thought should be for men only.

I’ve been eyeing that one also, Deana. It’s an unusual topic for historical fiction. Thanks for sharing with us. 🙂
