Roxanne C.
My gingerbread house would look like a Queen Anne with lots of icing trim.
Loraine
That is going to look fabulous Roxanne. What a great style for a gingerbread house. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Danielle Hammelef
I’m going to make my house look like a log cabin and use Kit Kat bars as the logs. My roof will be made of peppermint bark.
Loraine
Yummy and awesome looking too – Love it! Thanks for commenting Danielle. 🙂
Linda Kish
I’m not very artistic. I would buy a kit and make one of them and put plenty of candies on it with icing on the roof for snow and green frosting for a tree or two.
Loraine
I don’t know Linda, that sounds pretty artistic to me. 😉 And it sounds awesome! Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Gail Hollingsworth
We decorate gingerbread houses as a family every year in a fun competition. I’m using frosted pop tarts to assimilate an igloo. Coconut as garnish and powdered sugar as snow. I may use Hershey kisses as “mud” from melted snow.
Loraine
How very creative Gail. I love it! Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Paty Hinojosa
I’m going to try to do a mini gingerbread castle with little turrets and lots of icing. There will be rows of candy canes guiding to the entrance of the castle!
Loraine
I love the castle idea for your house Paty. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Connie Lee
I have never made one before, so mine would have to be a kit. I would probably find a place to put a few peanut M&M’s on it because that’s my favorite candy.
Loraine
I love your personal touch Connie. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Jan Stetson
Mine would be chocolate with Oreo cookies on the roof 🙂
Loraine
Oreos on the top are interesting and yummy Jan. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Caryl Kane
My house looks like a hobbit house with a graham cracker door and brown M&Ms,
Loraine
I love the twist of it being a hobbit house Caryl. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Linda Moffitt
Covered with way too much candy
Loraine
LOL. I’m with you Linda. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Lelia (Lucy) Reynolds
Mine is a candy cane cottage with peppermint walkway and a white frosted roof sprinkled with rd sanding sugar.
Loraine
Okay, that sounds awesome and tasty Lucy. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Susanne
A traditional house with a gingerbread family
Loraine
That is so cute that you’ve added a family Susanne. I like it! Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Trixi
I’d make my gingerbread house from scratch (then my family can eat it afterwards!). It would have frosting to hold the walls together, white frosting with edible glitter on the roof to look like sparkling snow, a candy cane front door, gummy lifesavers for windows, and green & red M&M’s for siding. Then a snowman or two made from marshmallows on the front lawn.
Loraine
That all sounds awesome Trixi and I especially love the added snowmen on the front lawn. 🙂 Thanks for commenting.
Heidi Robbins
I love the traditional cottage style gingerbread houses!
Loraine
Can’t go wrong with the traditional looks Heidi. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Deana Dick
My gingerbread douse is a farm house with a windmill. The walls are made of graham crackers with vanilla frosting as the glue. Little sprinkles are in the rooftop and on the house is different colors of gum drops.
Loraine
What a great idea to have a windmill Deana. I like that! Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Natalya Lakhno
It’s a little whimsical cottage tucked under a snowy sugar-powdered roof, the kind that looks like it’s been dusted straight from heaven. The walls are rich, warm gingerbread with those tiny crackles that smell like cinnamon, cloves, and absolute Christmas magic.
A marshmallow snowman guards the front door, which is framed with red licorice trim. And of course… a path of sparkling sugar crystals leads to the entrance, crunching like fresh snow under tiny candy boots.
Loraine
So poetic and tasty sounding Natalya. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
BN
like castle
Loraine
Like it! Thanks for commenting BN. 🙂
Sarah Evankovich
I’m not very crafty or have access to an oven to make it homemade, so mine would be fro a kit & because pinks my favorite color, there would be lots of pink icing on it.
Loraine
I love that you are incorporating your favorite color Sarah. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Michelle Miller
My house would be made out of graham crackers with icing as the glue. I’d put mini marshmallows on the rooftop and use red vines to make windows and the door. Then add other candies to decorate it.
Loraine
Sounds very tasty Michelle. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
Winnie Thomas
My gingerbread house will probably turn out kind of crazy. I’m not great at doing them. LOL I’ll have to add lots of candy to cover the mistakes.
Loraine
And what a yummy way to cover the mistakes Winnie. 😉 Thanks for commenting.
