In my years of volunteer work I have stuck with things in my own small town. I have volunteered for my local animal shelter, several capacities involving the Friends of the Library, and for the last 15 years I have worn quite a few hats at my local museum. As much as I love history and reading, I would recommend your own local no-kill animal shelter. In my several years there I always looked at it as taking care of pets for families who just haven’t arrived to pick up their pet yet. Not only is it rewarding helping animals but when you see that connection between a dog or cat and their new family it really warms a person’s heart.
Loraine
That is a great idea for our volunteering Jasmine. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
