Welcome to this unboxing of The Eve Box book subscription for August 2021.

I have found some wonderful boxes. My YouTube channel is full of video unboxings if you are interested. I also share my unboxings on my sister website for those boxes that are not books.

By far, my favorite boxes are the ones with the books in them. And those unboxings I share on this website.

I order this subscription through Cratejoy (affiliate link). The company is a monthly Christian book club created to highlight lesser-known women of the Bible. The Eve Box is a mini version of their Delilah Box. The Eve Box is a monthly box which includes a book, a study/story brochure, notepad, and two additional items.

What did I get in my box this month? I am going to share the contents with you here. My review is not for the book or the items I received because I haven’t read/used them yet, but instead will be for the content and subscription experience.

Unboxing

  • The shipment arrived in a non descript envelope. Everything inside was in a cloth draw string pouch.
  • The first item in the box was a tea pot shaped tea caddy.
  • The second item in the box was two cold brewed iced tea bags.
  • The third item in the box was a couple of recipe cards.
  • The fourth item in the box was a standard pen.
  • The fifth item in the box was a devotional about Job’s wife.
  • The sixth item in the box was the book… The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom (35th Anniversary Edition).

Here is everything I received in the box.

Review

What I liked:

  • Bible devotional included
  • Full size trade paperback
  • Price is good
  • Cloth draw string pouch

What I didn’t like:

  • Tea items
  • Pen was standard throw away type
  • Book was biography rather than fiction

Overall Opinion

This shipment was underwhelming to me. Since I don’t drink tea, I won’t use the tea caddy or tea bags. The pen was the kind that you get for free as advertising. The recipe cards were okay. I like the idea of the cloth pouch, but I didn’t like the color or pattern. The book was nice but the website did say that the book would be a Christian fiction so I was a little disappointed that I received a biography. Overall I think the value was good for what I received but this box just wasn’t for me. I will give it another month to see if I feel differently then.

This subscription service is $17.50 plus $5 shipping for a total of $22.50/month.

I will continue this subscription for the upcoming month.
