My review:

Bookstore? Treasure? Romance? I was sold even before I read the first page. There was so much to unfold in this story. Hope had such a tragic backstory that I wasn’t sure how she would find healing within the pages but the author did such a wonderful job of showing the healing power of God’s love in her life.

I enjoyed the air of mystery surrounding the possible treasure with books being the keys to solving it. Tucked into the treasure hunt was a very sweet romance which had me closing the book with a satisfied sigh. Loved it.

There was so much to like about the variety of characters that made their way into Hope’s path keeping her from her goal of getting out of town without forming any attachments. I especially liked her friend Kit and hope that there might be a future book on her story?

What I enjoyed most about this book: 

Sweet romance and loads of literary references.

What I didn’t like about this book:

Some of the clues seemed a little forced.

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes. Wonderful characters, sweet romance, great inspirational thread. Hard to believe this is the author’s debut novel. This is a standalone story.
