This weekβs book giveaway is for the inspirational time travel romance book Never Leave Me by Jody Hedlund.
What is this book about?
In the last stages of a genetic disease, Ellen Creighton has decided to live out her remaining days at the estate of her longtime friend Harrison Burlington. Harrison cares deeply for Ellen, but as a wheelchair-bound paraplegic, he’s never allowed himself to get serious in a relationship. However, he’s desperately trying to save her by finding the holy water that is believed to heal any disease.
When he locates two flasks, Ellen refuses to drink one of them because she believes the holy water killed her sister and father. In an effort to convince her to take it, Harrison ingests the contents first, and when Ellen witnesses the effects, she can no longer deny the power of the substance in the bottles. Dangerous criminals are also seeking the holy water, and Ellen soon learns they will go to any lengths to get the powerful drug–including sending her back into the past to find it for them.

If I could travel back in time, I would travel to October 28, 1886, to witness the dedication of the Statue of Liberty.

I would go back to the early 1800s because my great grandfather traveled by wagon to homestead his land . The stories he has told me are fascinating. I have always been intrigued by this time period. People worked hard and helped their neighbors out.

Thanks for sharing that with us Deana. π

If I could go back in time, I’d go back to my grandparents time so I could learn more about my family back ground. My grandfather immigrated from a part of a country that is now under communist control to Elllis Island. He refused to talk about anything so there is nothing as far as relatives and such prior to his time in the U.S. Plus I think it would be interesting, albetit hard, to experience time of both sides of my family.
Another time I would go back to would start with the birth of our daughter. Oh to be able to live those 17 years again!

I would like to go back to 1979 in Canoga Park, CA (part of Los Angeles). My family would be whole again. In 1980, I lost my sister in a small plane crash in Africa and my step-brother to suicide. Life was better when we were all together.
Loraine
Aww, Linda, I am so sorry for your losses. Thank you for sharing with us. π

Maybe go back to just after I graduated high school and live my young adulthood over again in hopes I wouldn’t make the same mistakes I did. Of course, I’d want the same knowledge I have now so that I’d make better choices π
Thank you for the giveaway chance to win Jody’s book. I have not read this series yet & I’m curious about them. Definitely different from her usual writing!

I would want to go back in time to meet my great grandparents. They died before I was born. I think it would be interesting to learn more about my family history through them.
