What is this book about?
When rancher Cade Moulten decides to get a therapy dog for his ailing grandmother, he doesn’t expect a fluffy Pomeranian—or a pretty veterinarian trainer. But Cade will do anything to prove he’s a changed man, even train the small K-9 alongside Mackenzie Howard. Soon the weekly sessions with Mackenzie have Cade wishing for more. But will he risk revealing his shameful past for a chance at acceptance?

I think I would take my trained canine to the zoo. There were would meet up with friends and well as have encounters with many strangers. He would also have to deal with the scent of a wide array of animals. It would be a true test of his ability to stay focused on me and my needs instead of the surroundings.

Good thinking Kay. Thanks for commenting.

I would take my dog to several nursing homes, so that he (or she) and I could meet the staff and residents.
They get such a thrill seeing and petting the dogs. When I was in a nursine home recovering from a broken leg, my puppy came to see me. he peed on the floor. He was only a few months old, and the residents just loved him. My golden retriver came too. He was older and better behaved, and the staff said they would just let him wander. They loved him too.

How wonderful Kathleen. Thanks for sharing that with us.

We have two programs in Tuscaloosa I would visit. Rise, a day place for special needs children. They incorporate “regular” children with special needs children to interact together.
Also Eagles Wings a day program for special needs adults. The founder graduated high school with my husband.

Those programs sound awesome, Gail. Thanks for sharing with us.

I’d take him/her to a school for neurodiverse kids. I know that school can be difficult for them and having breaks and being able to spend time with a therapy dog instead of trying to sit still, be quiet and focus would be a welcome break in even a normal kid’s day
Loraine
That is very thoughtful, Linda. Thanks for sharing with us.
