Always Watching by Lynette Eason | Book Review by Loraine Nunley #BookReview @lorainenunley

Synopsis of the book:

When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians to protect his son. But when Wade’s bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap.

Olivia’s skills are about to be tested to the limit as Wade’s stalker moves from leaving innocent gifts at his door to threatening those closest to him — including Olivia. But in her mind, even more dangerous than the threats to her life is the hold her handsome client has on her heart.

My review:

Ahh… The suspense! Nail biting and page turning from beginning to end. This was a story that stuck with me long after it ended. I really enjoyed that there wasn’t one clear suspect for Wade’s stalker. I bounced back and forth trying to figure out who it was.

Something different about this story was that it had a few different points of view (POV) sprinkled in. Normally I don’t care for more POV’s than the hero, heroine, and possibly the villain in romantic suspense. But this was done really well and it added a layer of depth that might not have been achieved otherwise.

Of course, the romance was good. As good as it can be for two people hanging onto reality during terrifying danger. There is more emphasis on suspense over romance but it was still really good.

What I enjoyed most about this book

The suspense and mystery. I just had to keep turning the pages to find out what would happen.

What I didn’t like about this book:

Too many secondary character names with the law enforcement. At one point I confused the main character with a minor one because the names were similar.

My rating:  4 1/2 out of 5 stars

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes. This author is a go-to for inspirational romantic suspense. This story draws you in and holds on for dear life right up to the end. This is the first book in the series and I’m excited to read the next one.
