Synopsis from the back of the book:
Find the key…
Peter Ryan wakes up on a typical morning only to find his house empty, his wife and daughter nowhere to be found. His world is shattered after a phone call to a friend confirms the impossible: his wife and daughter died in a car accident he does not remember.
Haunted by faint memories and flashes of details, Peter becomes convinced that something isn’t right and begins to question reality. When he discovers a note in his daughter’s handwriting, strange memories surface that cause him to second-guess nearly everything he once believed. Suddenly armed men show up at Peter’s home, turning the mysterious puzzle of his past into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
One the run and unsure whom to trust, Peter has to discover what’s real and what isn’t before he loses everything.
My review:
Wow. So much suspense packed into one book. I had to stay up late to finish this one. I needed to find out what was real for Peter. Why doesn’t he remember his past? There were so many questions to be answered, that I was on the edge of my seat watching Peter try to get those answers.
I found this book very intriguing. What if you woke up one day and only remembered part of your life? What if you had memories that didn’t match the reality of what everyone around you told you? It was like Peter was dreaming and yet he wasn’t. Worse still was that someone doesn’t want him to figure it out. I also liked that Peter has to come to grips with his relationship with God in the midst of it all.
This was one suspenseful ride, even up to the end. I was learning about Peter right along with him. Does he get all of his answers? Can’t tell you that – you will need to read it yourself. Just make sure that you are prepared to stay up late to finish it.
What I enjoyed most about this book:
Steady suspense. It drew me in and hung on to me until the end.
What I didn’t like about this book:
Nothing.
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Would I recommend this book to others? You bet. If you like suspense, this book supplies it in huge quantity. This book was like an action movie with an inspirational thread throughout.
