What is this book about?

CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.

Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn’t at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It’s hard to trust a woman who’s already betrayed you.

Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning–the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US military communications center and throw the world into chaos.

Can Brynn surrender control to a man who doesn’t trust her? And can Jack ever get over what she did to him? The fate of the world–and their hearts–hangs in the balance.

My review:

The beginning of this new series starts at full speed and doesn’t slow down. The team dynamics are so much fun, each personality blends so well in the fabric of this story. I loved them all – especially one larger than life Hawaiian.

Poor Brynn. Every step of the way new obstacles showed up messing with her well-ordered plans. To top it off, danger is never far away.

When Jack first mentions that Brynn had previously betrayed him, I wondered how they would ever manage to get past it. I liked his loyalty and strength.

It can be hard to believe a romance happening during a short timeframe under physical and mental pressures. But the feelings between Brynn and Jack felt like they developed in a natural way.

What I enjoyed most about this book:

The team dynamics.

What I didn’t like about this book:

Nothing.

Rating 5 out of 5 stars

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes. The suspense was relentless but offset by great characters and a nice romance. This is the first book in the series.

Note: I received this book complimentary as a member of the author’s launch team. I was not required to give a positive review. All of the opinions I have expressed here are honest and my own.
