What is this book about?
Constable Jackson Forge intends to make the world safer, or at least the streets of Victorian London. But that’s Kit Turner’s domain, a swindler who runs a crew that acquires money the old-fashioned way—conning the rich to give to the poor. When a local cab driver goes missing, Jackson is tasked with finding the man, and the only way to do that is by enlisting Kit’s help. If Jackson doesn’t find the cabby, he’ll be fired. If Kit doesn’t help Jackson, he’ll arrest her for thievery. Yet neither of them realize those are the least of their problems.
My review:
Classic good versus evil. Or is it? Jackson has great ambitions of ridding the world of crime, one thief at a time. What he doesn’t account for is the clever and determined Kit Turner who takes all his preconceived notions and turns them on their heads. Having to partner up for a common goal makes their interactions so fun. Love follows in a great way. Can’t wait to see what kind of trouble they get themselves into in book two.
What I enjoyed most about this book:
Definitely Kit’s kindness especially given her background and the place she lived
What I didn’t like about this book:
Some of the secondary characters

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes. Interesting characters, entertaining situations and happily ever after. This is the first book in the series.
