Getting to know Loraine Nunley
What am I inspired by?
My family is my inspiration for much of what I write. My first book, I Do… Over? A Christian’s Guide to Remarriage was inspired by my husband and our wonderful marriage. 40 Birthday Celebration Ideas, was inspired by my mom who loved celebrating birthdays. Hannah and Rebekah Meet Santa Claus, was a story that I wrote for my daughters. My children’s military aircraft series, This Is The C-130 Hercules, This Is The C-17 Globemaster III, This Is The C-5 Galaxy, These are Military Aircraft, This Is The CH-47 Chinook, and These are Military Transport Aircraft: A Compilation were inspired by my husband and written for my children. In 2019, I published a series of journals and write-in books including a book log and password keeper.
What Am I Writing?
I am currently working on three main projects: A contemporary romance novel inspired by the classic Cyrano de Bergerac, an inspirational contemporary women’s fiction novel with a physically disabled heroine, and a middle grade story based on Bible characters.
What Am I Reviewing?
I am honored to have been on street teams for authors like Jen Turano, Lynn Blackburn, Susan Anne Mason, Amanda Dykes, Jaime Jo Wright, and Natalie Walters. I also review books through publicity tour companies like JustReads Publicity Tours, Prism Book Tours, and occasionally directly for publishers like Revell and Kregel.

Who Are My Favorite Authors?
I read two genres typically: romance (contemporary/suspense/historical) and mystery. There are so many wonderful writers out there but here are a few of my go-to authors:
Contemporary: Becky Wade, Deborah Raney, Nicole Deese, Pepper Basham, and Liz Johnson.
Suspense: Dani Pettrey, Lynette Eason, Jaime Jo Wright, Lynn Blackburn, and Natalie Walters.
Historical: Gabrielle Meyer, Elizabeth Camden, Sarah Sundin, Jen Turano, Roseanna M. White, and Julie Klassen.
What Will You Find On My Website?
I enjoy sharing my love of books with others. For that reason, you will find many book reviews and book giveaways. Since I read books mostly from the romantic suspense and historical romance genres, those are the ones that I tend to share. But you never know when another genre will creep in there because I really love a good story.
I am passionate about my marriage, family and writing, so you will find articles about those things as well.

to add to my last email… My grandson will be born in June. The mother has books on the list of things to buy. I like yours because it is for children and I hope – happy stories about the c-13o. They live in Fort Worth and the Father is a pilot – he is a Captain in Natl Guard – Air Force and The Hercules C130 is what he flies. Do you have photos? Are there different stories in the book about what they carried and supplied and where they went?
Loraine
Thanks for your interest in my books, Kathy! This Is The C-130 Hercules holds a special place in my heart because it is the one that my husband served on as a Loadmaster. If you go to the webpage for that book on my website and click on the link to “Where Can I Get This Book?”, Amazon offers a preview of the inside. The book uses photos to take children through the different parts of the aircraft, how it is loaded/unloaded, and how it has been used throughout its lifetime. The photos are the star of this book with two large color photos on each page. If you have more questions or would like more info, please contact me directly at info@lorainenunley.com

How about that! We share the same favorite authors and the same genres! How do you like combining those two genres?
