Welcome 2024! My word for the year

I begin the new year by choosing one word to represent my goals or focus for the year. Sometimes I accomplish them. Other times they serve as reminders of the things I want to keep foremost in my life.

My word for 2023 was ‘hope’. This was my reminder throughout the year that God is the one who fulfills my expectations. It is a great word and one that I will continue to hold close as I walk this journey with God.

With my manuscript as far as it is, I will soon be making decisions on what steps I will need to take next. So this year’s word will be my encouragement to make those decisions. The word I’ve chosen for 2024 is:

“INTENTIONAL”

intentional (adj): done on purpose; deliberate

No matter what this year brings, I must work with God to be intentional about those things I have control over.
