Welcome to this unboxing of a the Box of Books book subscription box for April 2022.

I have found some wonderful boxes. My YouTube channel is full of video unboxings if you are interested. I also share my unboxings on my sister website for those boxes that are not books.

By far, my favorite boxes are the ones with the books in them. And those unboxings I share on this website.

I order this subscription through Cratejoy (affiliate link). The box that I subscribed to is “I Like to Read” box which includes a book and 2-3 other goodies. There is a very detailed survey to fill out for, not only book preferences, but also the goodies and type of shipping.

What did I get in my box this month? I am going to share the contents with you here. My review is not for the book or the items I received because I haven’t read/used them yet, but instead will be for the content and subscription experience.

Unboxing

  • The box arrived in good shape and well labeled.
  • The first item in the box was a pen.
  • The second item in the box was a notebook.
  • The third item in the box was the book This Is Sunday Dinner by Lisa Capronigri.
  • And the fourth item in the box was the book… The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty.  It is an historical fiction.

Here is everything I received in the box.

Review

What I liked:

  • I could pick the genre I wanted to receive.
  • That Christian fiction was one of the genre choices because I wanted clean reads.
  • Detailed survey on book, snacks, drinks and even shipping preferences
  • Option to upgrade the amount of books in the box
  • No two boxes are the same

What I didn’t like:

  • Older books

Overall Opinion

This was my third box with this service. It wasn’t as much of a wow for me this month. I liked that they included a hardcover recipe book. I would have liked the fiction book to be a newer release (it was published in 2013). It was nice to have a pen for the notebook, but I didn’t really care for the notebook. I’m cautiously optimistic about the fiction book though.

This subscription service is $36.99 plus $4.99 shipping per box.
