This weekβs book giveaway is for the inspirational historical romance book Until the Dawn by Elizabeth Camden.
What is this book about?
A volunteer for the newly established Weather Bureau, Sophie van Riijn needs access to the highest spot in her village to report the most accurate readings. Fascinated by Dierenpark, an abandoned mansion high atop a windswept cliff in the Hudson River Valley, Sophie knows no better option despite a lack of permission from the absent owners.
The first Vandermark to return to the area in sixty years, Quentin intends to put an end to the shadowy rumors about the property that has brought nothing but trouble upon his family. Ready to tear down the mansion, he is furious to discover a local woman has been trespassing on his land.
Instantly at odds, Quentin and Sophie find common ground when she is the only one who can reach his troubled son. There’s a light within Sophie that Quentin has never known, and a small spark of the hope that left him years ago begins to grow. But when the secrets of Dierenpark and the Vandermark family history are no longer content to stay in the past, will tragedy triumph or can their tenuous hope prevail?

Love either late spring when the weather has warmed up to where it’s comfortable to be outside piddling in the garden and flower beds. It’s when the first flowers begin to appear – such a happy sight after the brown or winter.
I also love the late fall when the leaves turn to show their true beauty and the humidity and heat of summer give way to cool breezes and even the need on occasion for a light jacket. It’s the time of the birds migrating through to their winter grounds and the appearance of the trumpeter swans who spend the winter close to us.

Thanks for sharing that with us Kay. π

My favorite season is fall. When it gets a little cooler with crisp fall air I enjoy going camping. Especially as hot as this summer has been!

My favorite is fall weather! I love the cooler days and evenings. I always look forward to my favorite season which is fall. Not sure if it’s because my birthday is in October or not but I just love watching the leaves turn and I like to be outside when it’s not hot and humid!

I love Spring (what little we get of it) because it’s not too not or too cold. Right now we’re boiling hot with 100+ degree temps for more than a month and no rain. I’m ready for Fall!
Loraine
I can understand that Perrianne. Thanks for commenting. π

I like it when it’s warm enough to wear shorts and sandals, but not so hot that you start sweating as soon as you step outside. A gentle breeze helps.
