What is this book about?
His daughter is his priority… But is there room for one more?
Dedicated to protecting his daughter and the town of Sweetwater, widower Constable Jack Wells will do anything to stop the vandalism at their beloved wildlife preserve—even partner with its new veterinarian. But fighting his attraction to Emerson Parker might be the greater challenge. Soon their on-duty stakeouts evolve into off-duty family outings. But with heartbreak in his past, is he ready to risk a second chance?
My review:
Sweet and clean romance. Emerson and Jack had a lot of baggage but solving the mystery of at a wildlife preserve forced them together and feelings began to build. The story had some disjointed moments when I felt like I was missing something, particularly the reveal of the culprit. However, the romance was sweet and Jack’s little girl was icing on their cake.
What I enjoyed most about this book:
Sweet small town romance
What I didn’t like about this book:
Struggled with story flow

Would I recommend this book to others? Perhaps. Interesting characters and sweet romance, typical of the Love Inspired line. This is the first book in the series.
