Not much happens in Theodosia Stapleton’s tiny Northumberland village. Certainly not to her. My review:

This story was what I love about regency romances; strong hero and heroine, witty banter, and sweet romance against the societal constraints. Right from the start I loved Theo and Daniel. They had a great strength of character, were kind and considerate, and had a deep faith. Both of them were considered plain by society’s standards but their true beauty was within and that shined throughout as they fell in love with each other.

Of course there had to be characters to dislike along the way and there were quite a few of them. I loved when these characters would get put in their place by the sharp wit of the main characters. This was my favorite book of the series.

What I enjoyed most about this book: 

Fun banter between Theo and Daniel.

What I didn’t like about this book:

Took me a little bit to get into the rhythm of the regency terminology.

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes. Anyone who loves vintage regency stories, will enjoy this one with its great characters, their fun interactions, and sweet romance. This is the third book in the series and it can be read as a standalone story.
