Welcome 2023! My word for the year

I begin the new year by choosing one word to represent my goals or focus for the year. Sometimes I accomplish them. Other times they serve as reminders of the things I want to keep foremost in my life.

My word for 2022 was ‘glorify’. This was my reminder throughout the year that everything I do should bring glory to God. It wasn’t easy because of my imperfections and selfishness, but I pray that I was more honoring to God than not.

This year is already showing itself as a potentially challenging one and I choose to walk out in faith and claim God’s promises for it. The word I’ve chosen for 2023 is:

“HOPE”

hope (v): to desire with expectation of obtainment or fulfillment

No matter what this year brings, I expect God to work in wondrous ways especially with my writing.
