Coming up soon is our town’s Festival of Chariots in which we celebrate Indian culture with a parade and delicious food.

We have a few summer activities in Tuscaloosa. Every Friday evening there is a outside concert at our government plaza. We have a river and lake where various activities happen, boating, skiing, swimming. I am involved in a year round crochet/knitting group at our public library. We camp but on a recent trip I fell off our RV steps and am waiting on a call for a trauma orthopedic doctor appointment. Prayers appreciated.

Living in the Folk Music Capital there is music every where. We just had our big 4th celebration. There is the Dulcimer Festival this weekend. The next weekend is the Sam Bush concert. There’s a big C10’s in the Mountains event on the 25th. Plus music on the courthouse square every weekend and every night in the Pick ‘N’ Park. You can see folks gathering on lawns, corners to pick together. There are several music venues in town with concerts. While we might not hit them all, there’s alway something to do, listen to or see here in our small town from April to October. Bring a lawn chair and ready to have a good time!
